Maitri Affirmation Center (MAC)
MAC is a dedicated sanctuary for the Transgender, Gender-Diverse, and Intersex (TGI) community. Here, we provide short-term specialized nursing care for people surrounding their gender-affirming surgeries. This ensures these milestones are met with safety, affirmation, and celebration.
O U R C A R E
24-hour compassionate care
Clients recovering from gender-affirming surgeries receive access to our full interdisciplinary care team, combining nursing care, social work case management, therapy, volunteers, and nutritional support while they recover in a single-room occupancy room with a private bathroom. Stays are dependent upon the recovery schedule set by a client’s surgery team, but are typically 2-6 weeks.

Staying connected to your Maitri
Former MAC Clients are invited to come back to Maitri when they enroll in our BRANCH. These clients are welcome to continue to receive care from the Maitri therapist and join us for regular meals, groups, and holiday celebrations. You can learn more about BRANCH here.
