BRANCH Aftercare program

BRANCH offers clients exiting our residential care programs the ongoing support they need to live independently, healthily, and connected to community for as long as possible.

A BRANCH to hold onto

We know that staying connected to community is critical for ensuring people get the help they need when they need it. BRANCH is designed to keep our clients engaged through:

  • Regular phone and in-person check-ins with BRANCH staff and volunteers.

  • Ongoing therapy with a Maitri therapist, including both one-on-one and group therapy.

  • Invitations to meals at Maitri on designated BRANCH days.

  • Invitations to weekly events, groups, activities, and community celebrations at Maitri.

  • Invitations to holiday celebrations and special meals at Maitri.

At this time, only former residential care clients are invited to participate in BRANCH. If you have questions about this program, please contact BRANCH Director David Valentine at dvalentine@maitrisf.org.

“The staff is wonderful. But I want to take them home with me when I go. That's how good they are.”

— Erma, Former Client

When you donate to Maitri, you’re directly helping to ensure that no one in San Francisco has to suffer, transition, or die alone. Together we’re creating a community where every person, regardless of their HIV status or identity, knows they belong and are cared for.
