Our New Volunteers

Written by  Stan Stone
On March 25th, 2012, 16 new volutneers completed our 4 day training to provide one-on-one support for our residents. They are quickly weaving themselves into the fabric of Maitri by sitting at the bedside of the dying, escorting residents to a doctor appointment and providing support for activities such as Bingo. We recently had an outing to the Asian Art Museum where new volunteers extended a helping hand as we traversed The City by MUNI.
On May 5th, some of our new volunteers will escort residents to our silver anniversary gala, Bliss Event.25 years ago, Maitri's volunteers began providing compassionate care to those in need. That tradition of care is carried on by our new vounteers. Maitri is grateful for each and every one.
